Sustainable Fashion Futures TY Programme

We run a custom designed sustainable fashion course for TY students. This course teaches students to think critically about fast fashion and sustainability, and to see the possibility in materials around them.  The course includes the creative process involved in creating designs from junk materials, technical sewing and garment construction skills, and real-world product development. The course is run in assessable modules. Get in touch to find out more.

School workshops

We deliver fun sustainable fashion and clothing upcycling workshops to school children aged 10+. With a focus on sustainability and re-using materials, our school workshops are a great way to introduce children to fashion design, sewing and sustainable fashion education whilst developing their creativity and imagination.

Upcycled Denim Workshop

Below are some images from a Refashioned denim workshop held at Rathcoyle National School, Co Wicklow in June 2022.
The  4th, 5th & 6th Grade students took part, and they were all amazingly creative! The students all brought a pair of old jeans and turned them into cool, vintage-style frayed shorts. We talked about the impact of the denim production on water consumption, how upcycling and re-wearing clothes can help the planet, and we chatted about where our clothes are  made.  The students even created weird and wonderful fashion accessories from the leftover pieces of denim! The workshop was a great success! Thanks so much to the team at Rathcoyle National School for having me, I look forward to visiting again next year!
